two-hit wonders

You like party games, right? Here’s one that’s very versatile and requires no special equipment, aside from an appreciation of popular music. I call it “Two-Hit Wonders,” and it’s basically just a brainstorming session/debate over what musicians over the years qualify as two-hit wonders.

We can all name one-hit wonders, that’s easy. But it’s far more difficult to identify those artists who wowed us with only two hit songs, no more, no less. Prime examples are A-Ha (”Take On Me” and “The Sun Always Shines On TV”) and Blind Melon (”No Rain” and “Galaxy”). Anyone want to comment on others? Go ahead, give it a try… then make sure you use it at the next party you hit up!

    Hey sounds like a great idea. Soon as people start inviting me to parties I will start using it right away. Well, right after the always popular “Guess whats in my pants” game, (I seem to recall the party invites ending around the same time I came up with this game….?)

    Actually this came up over beers last night and I forgot A-Ha! But Men Without Hats was determined to be one as well… for “The Safety Dance” and “Pop Goes the World”.
